DESCRIPTION:
A half-day course designed for staff who have previously received Fire Warden/Marshal Training, preferably within the
last two to three years.
AIM:
Create an awareness of the nature of fire.
Revive students ability to carry out their allotted role during fire evacuation and to ensure that they are confident
to use portable fire extinguishers in the workplace when safe to do so.
OBJECTIVES:
On completion of the course, delegates knowledge will be refreshed on the following:
- Understanding of their role as a Fire Warden/Marshal.
- Fire and the devastating effect it has on a business.
- Basic fire safety principles and common causes of fire.
- Fire evacuation drills and evacuation procedures.
- Various fire extinguishers and how to use them.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND:
Any person requiring re-training, who has a specific responsibility for assisting in the emergency evacuation of a building.
REQUIREMENT:
Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
DURATION:
Half a day (1000hrs – 1300hrs) or customer’s requirements.
MAXIMUM NUMBER PER COURSE:
12-20 depending on venue and cost.
