train4fire extinguisher icon Minimising risk
Carrying out a fire risk assessment and providing fire training for your staff are not only requirements under the new Fire Safety legislation but will also ensure that your staff know what to do in the event of a fire and can safely evacuate the whole building if necessary.

If fire is tackled correctly it is possible to prevent a minor fire from becoming a major one and destroying your business.

Recent figures show that the cost of fire to the business sector amounted to £2.5 billion in England and Wales in a single year. If tackled incorrectly it is possible to turn a minor fire into a major one which may cause death or injury to your staff. Recent figures show that in the same year 38 people died and 1,300 were injured in non domestic premises.

Evac+Chair International Ltd is a world class company engaged in the design, development and manufacture of the Evac+Chair; a simple, safe and effective method of stairway descent that only requires one person to evacuate a physically disabled person in an emergency. It offers a fast and efficient escape without hindering other stairway users and could help employers meet the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act and Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 (R.R.O).
